Sandy McCann- Owner/Teacher: Ballet, Jazz, Creative Movement
Mrs. McCann graduated with Honors from Sullins College, earning a degree in Fine Arts - Dance. Sandy has lifetime of experience with choreography, theatre, and dance, including thirty five years as a dance teacher in Central Pennsylvania. Sandy established The McCann’s School of Dance in 1993.

Michele Robertson- Teacher: Tap, Ballet, Creative Movement
A Hershey High School graduate, Michele has studied Early Childhood Education at Harrisburg Area Community College. Dancing since age ten, Michele performed for three years with the Rock Hill Concert Ballet in South Carolina. Mrs. Robertson has been teaching dance for many years. Michele also shares her energy and talents with Hershey Area Playhouse where she has served on the board as well as a choreographer and producer.

Marianne Brace Purdy- Teacher: Hip-Hop, Tap
Hershey High alum, Marianne graduated from Shenandoah University with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Dance Performance, and continued her education at Lebanon Valley College, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Marianne has taught at the Capitol Area School for the Arts and other local dance schools. Mrs. Purdy is an elementary teacher in the Derry Township School District.

Isobel Dottle- Teacher: Ballet, Pointe
“Izzy” is a graduate of Central Dauphin and has completed course work at HACC. Her wealth of performing experience includes the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and the Pennsylvania Ballet. Isobel has many years of teaching experience at a number of dance schools including six years as the Artistic Director of Dance for the Milton Hershey School.

Kristen Michaelson- Teacher: Jazz, Hip Hop
Kristen is an Alumni of Hershey High School and Harrisburg Arts Magnet School Dance Program, Kristen studied Recreation and Sport Management at Temple University. Her love of dance began 30 years ago under the teaching of Sandy McCann. She has used her training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Modern and African Dunham to choreograph several ensemble pieces for local high schools, Hershey Area Playhouse and local dance programs.

Ashley McCann - Teacher: Zumba
Ashley graduated from Millersville University, is employed as a statistical analyst for the Commonwealth of PA and is married to Sandy’s son Sean. Ashley is licensed to teach Zumba Fitness, Zumba Toning, and Aqua Zumba.

Ashley has Group Fitness Certification from Interactive Fitness Trainers of America (IFTA) and is CPR certified. She has attended master classes with several Zumba Education Specialists, and was featured in the bi-monthly Zumba instructor DVD, “ZIN 35 Live,” with Beto, co-creator of Zumba.
